
Century West is a City of Bend neighborhood district centered on the SW Century Drive corridor in southwest Bend, recognized by the city on July 20, 2005. It sits about 2.5 miles southwest of central Bend, between the Deschutes River corridor to the north and the Deschutes National Forest boundary to the west. Housing is predominantly single-family homes built after 2000, making it one of Bend's newer west-side districts. SW Century Drive becomes the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway heading west, placing the neighborhood at the start of the 66-mile route toward Mt. Bachelor and the High Cascade lakes.
Families are served by Bend-La Pine Schools, with Cascade Middle School and William E. Miller Elementary as primary assigned schools and Summit High School at the high school level. OSU-Cascades, the only four-year university in Central Oregon, opened its main campus at 1500 SW Chandler Ave in 2016 just north of the district and operates an annex at 497 SW Century Drive. The 22-acre Farewell Bend Park provides river access and a trailhead to the Deschutes River Trail a mile north.
